The Power of Mind

How powerful are we? When we ask such a question most of the time we are looking at two aspects: the body and how influential we are in society. The last one is referring to how much money we possess or what is the position in the hierarchical structure. However, both perspectives are doing nothing but limiting our powers. Let’s put it this way. As long as we worship the material world in any form, we do not access our real potential. Recently I have taken a very interesting NLP (Neuro-linguistic Programming) course. This understanding and way of life are going on for a long time now, but they are not promoted since we may be at “risk” to understand our true nature. This program is an excellent approach to our subconscious mind. NLP brings a better understanding of our power, and we can say it is a more articulate language of the mind for a westerner. We are meditating, performing hypnosis sessions, yoga and that is a great understanding of the same power. However, since in a western society we use more our conscious mind, which I would call unconscious or the surface mind, we need to get a logical explanation of how our subconscious mind works. Through examples, experiments or technological measurement we come to understand that mind-body are interrelated in a more interesting powerful way. I would add that the soul energy is completing the trinity of a human being. However, we would focus now on the power of our minds.

So, what do we get through all experiments and logical thinking? We conclude that our mind, again not the surface one, can control realities and ultimately our bodies in context with the external and internal world. Through many techniques mentioned above (meditation, yoga, hypnosis) we come to that intuitive understanding and knowing, but NLP is opening the world for the non-believers we may say. It is a great thing to make people understand from a different point of view. The result would be the same after all. We will regain the power that we have always have had, or we should say we will learn that we have such power. What can we do when we access the subconscious mind? Well, anything that we want. Watching the movie, “The Secret“, many beliefs would go away living room for so-called miracles. After all, they are not miracles but features that we are born with.

  1. Ironic that Jesus and Pantanjali of Krishna and Buddha speak to Behavior with Action Verbs. A practice to Transcend this world to the next or Matter Conscious to Spiritual Consciousness.

Matthew 16:24 Then said Jesus unto his disciples, If any man will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow me.

Mark 8:34 And when he had called the people unto him with his disciples also, he said unto them, Whosoever will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow me.

Luke 9:23 And he said to them all, If any man will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross daily, and follow me.

    Patanjali’s Eightfold Path of Yoga:
    1. Yama (moral conduct): noninjury to others, truthfulness, nonstealing, continence, and noncovetousness
    2. Niyama (religious observances): purity of body and mind, contentment in all circumstances, self-discipline, self-study (contemplation), and devotion to God and guru
    3. Asana: right posture
    4. Pranayama: control of prana, the subtle life currents in the body
    5. Pratyahara: interiorization through withdrawal of the senses from external objects
    6. Dharana: focused concentration; holding the mind to one thought or object
    7. Dhyana: meditation, absorption in the vast perception of God in one of His infinite aspects — Bliss, Peace, Cosmic Light, Cosmic Sound, Love, Wisdom, etc. — all-pervading throughout the whole universe
    8. Samadhi: superconscious experience of the oneness of the individualized soul with Cosmic Spirit

The ONLY knowing or believing of this practice is the Resultst of the ACTION (behavior) REACTION and the EFFECT of that ACTION you not only BELIEV, You KNOW, by Objective Observation. An Objective Observation of repeatable Nature in this World creating and EFFECT (experience).

Many say: But you don’t Know? Ironic. If you don’t know Spirit, how can you witness death of a body or reborn in another body? What remembrance can there BE? If you become Spirit in this body (Flesh) in Born Again you experience Spirit without body.

John 3:3 Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.

John 3:4 Nicodemus saith unto him, How can a man be born when he is old? can he enter the second time into his mother’s womb, and be born?

John 3:5 Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God.

John 3:6 That which is born of the flesh is flesh; and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit.

John 3:7 Marvel not that I said unto thee, Ye must be born again.

John 3:8 The wind bloweth where it listeth, and thou hearest the sound thereof, but canst not tell whence it cometh, and whither it goeth: so is every one that is born of the Spirit.

John 3:13 And no man hath ascended up to heaven, but he that came down from heaven, even the Son of man which is in heaven.

I take the words as written in NT as “Jesus Said” as they are, BUT

The Negation of John 3:13 also true is that No Man appears in body that did not come down from heaven in the first place. And “The Last Shall be First”.

That is the creation some today call OLD. That would be life saying the Universe is not a Continuum. I has a beginning and end? Not Spin cycles or Eternal Life?
