Denying Jesus

I need to listen to my heart and God and write this article. I was born into a Christian family, and even though I do not attend church every Sunday and do not agree with all practices, I need to speak for my older brother, mentor, and best friend, Jesus Christ. He lives in me and any of us, but if we choose to build a cage around Him, we are all doomed. He needs to testify the most glorifying love, and we need to pass it over. We need to be his messengers, promote love and compassion, and help anyone in need. That is the only way humanity can progress without hitting the reset button. And most of all, we CANNOT deny him.

Any Christian knows the story of Peter denying Jesus three times. Jesus foresaw the act, saying, “Before the rooster crows, you will deny Me three times.”

Many Christians may think: “If I were in that position, I would not do that.” But is that true? We may look at the story and read between the lines because it can be interpreted in many ways, not just the literal one.

How do we, in our modern lives, find ourselves betraying Jesus? One prevalent way is through our reluctance to openly acknowledge our faith in order to protect our social positions and way of life. What happens now in the whole world, is not a war against Christians, but a spiritual battle against Jesus Christ. The forces of evil strive to deceive us, and many are led astray.

I am so happy to see people on TV, whether athletes, politicians, or actors, thanking Jesus for their success. Their fate is not shaken, and they will not give up God.

But many of us fear what may happen to them if they divulge their faith. I have no great news for those. Their faith is fake because when you find Jesus, he will always be in your heart. No politician of political correctness or any form of evil may move you away from the path. When you find God’s love, there is no room for fear in your heart.

There are many forms of denying Jesus, not just to deny his name: hate, greed, anger, or actions against other’s interests are just a few of them.

How about ignorance? That is the devil in disguise. When we escape any trouble, hoping it will not find us, we will ultimately end up in the dire situation we are running from. Governments are sold out at this time. There is no longer a good guy and a bad guy. There are only bad guys and terrible guys. How did we get here? Through ignorance. We have accepted everything that we were fed with step by step. In the process, many of us have fallen asleep and refuse to wake up. They are no longer just ignorant but in bed with the devil.

Please, dear souls, wake up and be with Christ, return to God, and follow His ways: compassion, love, and service, just like He is.
