This question is old, but it happened that I saw a few answers on the internet. As long that some of us named Love, Happiness, Compassion others prove they adjusted to this world and integrated perfectly with the sick society and the illusion we live in. Many answered “Me.” The first answer that comes into our minds is fundamental and says a lot about us. When we say “Me,” then we prove that our ego is alive and it is the master. I would guess that in the most cases those who answered that way would be first to be bought by money.
Another “smart” answer was time. I would not like to make anyone believe that I know the psyche of everyone around but some common sense interpretations could be made. When we link ourselves to the concept of time, and that cannot be bought with money we live in sorrow and sadness. We want the time back to fix our past problems, or we want to control time to make sure we have a great future. Lao-Tzu, the great philosopher, once said: “If you are depressed you are living in the past. If you are anxious, you are living in the future. If you are at peace, you are living in the present.” We do not need to buy time; we need to live in the present without the concept of time.
Another interesting concept is the reply to people who said “Love.” Many are opposing that idea saying that money can easily buy love. That is unfortunate for those people to believe so. We should pray for them to find love in their hearts because it looks like they forgot God and love and they only pretend to live in love. That is the only cause we keep wasting our lives.
Overall we could see from all the answers that more and more people are awakening which is great. They came with great answers as love, compassion, happiness, peace or even life. After all, it is common sense which we may call it intuition or basic feelings.
What would you answer?
