What a great question!
Life is many things; it is creation, it is happiness, it is love, it is experienced and so much more. To put it in a way to better understand it, life has been described by many of us in a book with many chapters, or a train trip with many stops until the final one, or as I read somewhere, it is a sandwich: birth, death and in between whatever we want to put.
And what is interesting about it is that we get almost as many answers as the group of people we ask.
If we ask scientists, life is the condition that distinguishes animals and plants from inorganic matter, including the capacity for growth, reproduction, functional activity, and continual change preceding death.
If we ask pessimists, life is a wave of struggles or a punishment before death.
If we ask mathematicians or physicists, life is an equation with an infinite number of parameters that only God can solve.
If we ask optimists, life is continuously story of happy events.
If we ask spiritual people, life is acceptance and love.
If we as computer guys, life is a game where we can die only once.
If we ask religious people, life is a bucket of fear that may bring you to Heaven.
We can go on and on with different categories of people, and we will hear so many definitions that will become extremely confusing.
So, once again what is life? Before reading what is coming next, please think yourself and answer it in your mind.
What is your answer?
To me, life is exactly what we choose to be, life is a choice because we live in a world that lets us be free. We can choose to live in love or in fear, we can accept or reject, we can forgive or condemn. Life is everything at once, but it is up to each of us to decide what life is. Choose wisely, and life will fulfill your purpose. It will make an optimist or a pessimist out of you, but that is not important because we created what we are, we created the definition of life.
